During your 30 day experience you will have access to our secondary studio where we can help you see any of your creative projects through to fruition. Our secondary studio has a private working bench and shelves above it. Tools and materials subject to bespoke requirements 

Included in this, you will have an initial consultation from a woodworking expert, Richard, who  will be able to help you with any project and problems that may arise during your work. We will also have a wide range of additional materials and tools that you will be able to upgrade to use if needed. Although, it is expected that you will have arranged the main materials for your experience which we’d be happy to help you with.

Throughout your 30 days you will be able to come and go from the studio as you wish.

This course is designed for first time epoxy users. We have been pouring live edge epoxy pieces and using resin long enough that it is time to share all of the secrets we have learned (the hard way) with you.

This was a very fun workshop, and a nice introduction to all the things to be aware of when getting started with resin.  I really appreciated Richard's attention to detail and how keen he was to school us in how to do things correctly.  It felt like a proper introduction to the craft rather than just a one off gift-voucher experience.

The space is small and was very cold for my session, which was on a really cold day, but I never really felt warm enough.  I also felt like although it's great to make even the theory/information parts of the class interactive and participatory, for an introductory session it would be good to sometimes use the quizzing to prompt us to recall stuff we learned earlier, rather than leave us floundering over questions like "What are the 4 conditions for rein to cure well" when we haven't been given any prior clues.

I'll be doing part 2, and was very happy overall with the way this course was delivered.

The Rivershop offers a unique and creative two-part workshop focused on crafting resin charcuterie boards. All materials needed to create your wooden trinket tray, including flowers, resin, and finishing supplies, are provided. You’ll also have access to a range of decorative elements to further personalise your piece, such as additional flowers, glitter, and pigments.

On the day of the course, you’ll have the option to upgrade your project to a larger tray or wall art featuring resin flowers. **Takeaway:**
Your wooden trinket tray will not be ready to take home on the same day due to the resin’s curing time. We will arrange a collection date for your finished piece or offer postage, depending on your preference. I went to this class with very little knowledge of epoxy resin and its uses but had seen the cool effects it can produce on instagram so thought i’d try something knew and out of my comfort zone. Richard and his wife (and their daughter Esme) were so welcoming and friendly! I felt confident knowing I had support the entire time but the freedom to experiment and get on with it myself. 

Richard’s directions and little nuggets of advice throughout were really helpful. All the instructions were clear and we all went at a good pace. The resources were great and I was able to work on this lovely bit of yew wood and had a range of great pigments to choose from for the resin. Overall, it was really fun and informative and I was really pleased with the outcome of my piece.

I really enjoyed learning the technical details of the process of making resin and playing with glue guns! It would be great to see the changes mentioned to reduce impact on the environment take place as I was a little uncomfortable using some of the disposable materials e.g. the wipes used to clean the table seemed like they could have been replaced with spray and a cloth.

Join us for a hands-on carpentry course where you will assemble and finish a beautifully crafted trinket box .

Craft Your Own Trinket Box

We will go through all the steps needed to make your very own, unique resin seascape. Our coastal artwork class gives you a taste of pouring resin by making a set of coasters. 

For the more adventurous among you, we have a variety of additional upgrades available for you on the day. After you've done your coasters, you can turn your newfound skill to pouring seascapes on one of our: side tables, serving trays or even your very own wall art piece. 

The course duration is set at 2.5 hours. This is ample time for you to arrive, receive a briefing and get your coasters coated in a seascape. We will allocate an additional 90 minutes for anybody that wishes to do another pour on any of our additional products we have in stock on the day. After the class you will be able to buy your very own resin kit to take home and start the next step in your resin journey. 

**Upgrades **
Optional additional products can be made after the coasters and include side table, 2x additional coasters, serving trays. Prices for upgrades vary depending on stock available on the day.


**GROUP CLASSES**
This is also a fantastic class for hen-dos or groups of friends.
